How did Bach register his music?  Historical organs offer insight into this important issue in performing Bach's organ works.  In this short video, Kimberly demonstrates two important aspects of the Hildebrandt organ in Störmthal that Bach examined in 1723.

In May 2014, I had the opportunity to perform on the Hildebrandt organ in Störmthal.  I was very impressed by how well the pedal posaune balanced the manuals, as well as by the different colors available in the principal chorus.
